CHUPAN CHUPAI (2022) - SHORTÂ COMEDY

Chupan Chupai is my third-year graduation film whilst studying at the University of Gloucestershire. Working as the Producer and 1st AD on the project was an absolute blast as our crew was excellent!
The film centers on Mehr, a young girl from Pakistan getting ready for her wedding day. However, she's unaware her fiance has invited her mother from Pakistan as a surprise. The only problem?

Her mother doesn't know she's gay!
Mother's Body (2022) - Short Horror

Mother's Body is the second horror film I have written and directed. The film is a loose adaptation of my own personal experiences of visiting the body of a loved one at the beginning of adolescence.

Once our protagonist James ( Aged 13) visits the body of his recently deceased mother, her body begins to suddenly breathe and sit up. Unable to accept what he's seen, the body visits James every night until he accepts his grief.
​
Once he does, he and his father, Patrick, can finally grieve together and not be in fear and isolation due to a passed loved one.
God's Will (2021) - Short Comedy

God's Will is a short comedy I had the pleasure of Producing and Assitant Directing whilst studying at the University of Gloucestershire. The film centers on Will, a young Christinan who wants to finally engage physically with his girlfriend Alex. Will's beliefs are put to the test as Alex is ready to take their relationship further despite Will stating that he "would like to wait until marriage.
A Band Called Shock horror ( Short Documentary 2020)

Whilst studying at the University of Gloucestershire, I directed a music documentary in the observational documentary mode.

The documentary follows a new Bristol-based band called Shock Horror and their usual creative approach to songwriting whilst living through the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Half Moon (2019) - Short Horror

In an isolated in the North of England, an outsider enters the Half Moon in search of a missing companion. Suddenly the local vampire appears unnanounced and demands his "special" food be brought from the owners of the pub. Things soon get bloody...

Promise (2019) - Short Drama

"Promise" was the second short film I wrote, directed, and composed the music for. Produced independently by myself, the film was shot on location in Astley and centers on a young foster child waiting to meet with his father. However, his father never arrives and his social worker is faced to support the child.

The short won three short-film festival awards including "The Lift-Off Sessions" and the "Youth Mental Health Arts Festival".
Inside Number 37 (2018) - Short Drama

"Inside Number 37 " was the first genre narrative I had ever written and directed myself when I was seventeen. Due to my limited experience and resources, I had to also produce the film myself.

Despite its many flaws, I've chosen to include it within my filmography as I believe it displays many early-onset directorial lessons I had learned from an early age in my career.
The short film centers on Callum, a young teen who returns home to find his abusive stepfather taking advantage of his mother once again. In a fit of rage, Callum finally strikes back against his mother's tormentor. However, the stepfather slams his head into the floor after being thrown by Callum. Now powerless and unconscious, the stepfather soon finds Callum's hands gripping his throat.
Kavinsky - Nightcall (MUSIC VIDEO 2018)

This is an UNOFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO for the title track "Nightcall" by the electronic synthwave artist Kavinsky.
I produced and directed the video whilst being heavily inspired by the artist himself as well as also drawing heavy inspiration from Nicolas Winding Refn's masterpiece Drive (2011).
The music video was shot over one night for a final A-LEVEL final media submission. Filmed with just two actors, a car, and a small DSLR camera.
